Evolve Dynamics celebrates VE Day 80 with local veterans

As communities across the UK came together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day, which marked the end of World War II in Europe), at Evolve Dynamics we invited local veterans to join us for our own commemorative event.

On Friday 2 May 2025, a select group of Royal British Legion members, together with East Hampshire MP, Damian Hinds, were invited to an exclusive demonstration of our two new miniaturised platforms specifically engineered to meet the rigorous demands of modern warfighters: Foxe and Wolfe. Guests were invited to have a go ‘on the sticks’ flying the 249g Foxe UAS, and also had the opportunity to tour our R&D and manufacturing facilities, and to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea.

Among the invited veterans were three volunteers for the charity Hampshire Search & Rescue, who had a professional interest in the technology on show as they use drones in their work to support the police and other agencies to search for vulnerable missing persons.

SERVING THE ARMED FORCES COMMUNITY

A Forces-friendly business, Evolve Dynamics is proud to employ a number of veterans and is a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, holding the Silver Award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

Evolve Dynamics’ CEO Tom Redman commented:

“It was an honour to welcome members of our local veteran community to join us for our special VE Day 80 event. We are proud to employ a number of veterans, and it is important that we take time to celebrate the service and sacrifice of those who defend our nation.

“At Evolve Dynamics, our driving force is to equip those on the front lines with the most reliable and effective tools to ensure their safety and mission success. The launch of Foxe and Wolfe represents a significant milestone in achieving this vision."

Damian Hinds, MP for East Hampshire, said:

“It’s always a pleasure to meet with local employers, especially a business creating highly skilled, specialist jobs in the area. I was fascinated to see drones that have seen active service in Ukraine on reconnaissance missions, as well as the next generation now in development. As always, it was a privilege to meet local veterans and witness their reactions to this emerging technology.”
